I Don't Use Coupons

I confess that I left for work and forgot to turn off my flatiron.  I wasn't totally sure it was on but I had this nagging feeling as I pulled into 7-11 to get my coffee.  I'd rather be late then have my house burn down; although I don't really know for sure if that would happen so I went back.  Better safe then sorry.  Lucky I hadn't gotten that far.  Good thing I did because it was still on.  Don't you hate that?

I confess that the REAL reason I was late to work is because I really liked my outfit and spent about 10 minutes with Timer Cam trying to get a picture.  It's on Instagram. I'm embracing colored denim; GREEN! Something I would have never done before.   And I've been shopping a lot lately.  Might as well show some of it off.

I confess that my husband is a computer nerd now.  He got a hot new Computer Network Engineering job and then he brought home a PC.  We are Apple people.  We  have Mac laptops, i Phones and he has an i Pad.  I know.  Scandalous.  Apparently when you are a computer nerd you want a PC to "play around with" whatever that means.  And sometimes you even buy odd computer game controllers called Thrustmaster.  My computer nerd is smart AND sexy so I'm not bothered by this one bit.

I cut out coupons but they rarely make it to the store before they expire.  I want to use them.  I try, but nine times out of ten it just doesn't happen.  Whatever I save is chump change so it just doesn't seem like it's worth the effort.  It's either things I don't use, they want you to buy multiples or I don't have it with me.  I kind of wish I had the time and know how to be an extreme couponer but I don't have the storage for it anyways.  I'm much more likely to use restaurant or clothing coupons.   I will go out of my way to make sure that the $10 off at Kohl's doesn't expire on me.  I finally put an envelope in my car.  Let's see if that helps.

Sometimes the only thing that keeps me from using that rusty razor in the shower is that one episode I saw on 1,000 Ways to Die about the stripper with the looooong luxurious legs who used a rusty razor, went into sepsis and died.  I'll grab my razor when I'm in the shower.  Look at it.  See rust.  Think about how I'm already wet and don't want to drip water everywhere reaching into the drawer to grab a new one.  I think about that damn show and how a tiny nick could potentially be the death of me.  Then I do it anyways.  Or let my legs stay hairy and skip it altogether.

I confess that I keep deodorant in the center console of my car. One day on the way to work I realized I'd forgotten to put some on so I rushed to the drug store, bought some and kept it in the car. It's come in handy on more then one occasion.

I confess that I live in pajamas when I'm at home. I get home from work and the first thing I do is trade day clothes for pajamas. When I'm at home and have to go somewhere getting dressed is done right before I have to leave. I just can't be in my home in clothes.  I feel like I can't relax.  Don't worry, I'm not hanging around in rags.   I have a ton of jammies and most of them are really cute ones from Victoria's Secret.

It's going to be another hot weekend for us in So Cal.  It was 83 degrees on my way to work at 7:30am this morning.  HOT!  But I really love it.  If I didn't have Air Conditioning at home I might be complaining but I am a California girl and I love the heat so I'll take it while it lasts.  Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Now that I use a mac, I don't think I'll ever switch to a pc again. The price is ridiculous, but I love it. It's amazing for my photography but it runs so much nicer! I haven't used anything else apple though, and don't plan on it any time soon, but this is a keeper!

And that razor story makes me want to check mine now - I never thought about that before. Yikes!

hahahaha love this! Your self timer comment made me laugh--sounds familiar :). and I do the same thing with those darn coupons! I love to cut them out but totally forget about them before I ever make it to the store.

I would so love a Mac but always think it looks so complicated! Im with you on the coupon ing...I rarely use them but it sure feels nice to get a discount when I do use them. Online coupons are my fav if I have to use them! Have a great weekend!

I'm totally with you, when I'm home it's comfy clothes all day for me. I'm glad you made mention of that razor "issu" I never heard of that before. Guess, I better stock up on new razors.
I live in Texas so I'm all about the heat we have been having 100 + degree weather for weeks!

I can't deal with coupons. I don't have the space in my brain to deal with planning out my lists and making strategies just so I can use coupons.

oh no! now you will have me inspecting my razors too.. i am bound to cut myself. and I agree - my coupons would never make it but those emails with clothing store coupons keep me running to the store.

I nodded my head to so many things in this post. I always double check my straightener, my hubby is a programmer, PJs the second I get home, and ugh... So Cal needs to get it TOGETHER!!

I hate when you leave your straightener on, that is the worst!

I love my Mac and never want to go back. That's why I got a Macbook Air to replace my old Macbook from 2007 even though it would have been financially responsible (as many people told me) to get something cheaper. But I'm in love with my Air. Don't regret it one bit.

If I played computer games, though, that might be another story. This thing heats up hardcore just playing Candy Crush, and I've been told that goes for all Macs - none of them are made for gaming.

I can't tell you how many times I have left the house and had that nagging feeling of "did I turn off the curling iron/straightener!?" I get especially worried because my 2 cats/babies are there while we are gone. One time my family and I were going to Abilene, which is about 45 minutes away from our house in Texas, and I had that feeling. About halfway there I finally spoke up and my dad got so annoyed. We went back and it was off but he decided he was no longer going to Abilene with us lol. And the rusty razor thing made me giggle, that show is so addicting!

Doesn't everyone change into their PJ's once they are home for the day/evening?

Oh wow, this made me laugh! My coupons rarely make it to the store either, and I have to also say that I also heard about the stupid rusty razor death and now am so paranoid as well and skip shaving if I even think I might possibly see some kind of rust! LOL!

I'm really liking your blog and I am your newest follower now at # 298 and would love if you stopped by to visit mine! xx Pip

I do the same thing with coupons. I don't know why I cut them and then forget to use it, baffles me.

I love that you were late because you were taking pictures of your outfit! Colored denim, I love.

Today was so, so cold. I can't believe how cold it has gotten so quickly. Sept can't and seriously brought the cold with her. I was hoping for a gradual decrease :/

I always think I left something on...the stove, the flat iron, the iron. And I never have (thank God!) but I fear the worst...

I never use coupons because I usually lose them just before I actually need them.

At least you cut out the coupons, I don't even get that far! And I hate that nagging feeling you left your straightener on, I have a dog and cat and I'm scared I'll burn the house down with them in it!

OMG Cece, it's amazing how I read blogs and oftentimes think "that's me!" We're much more all alike than we care to admit. The coupon thing - totally me. My mom on the other hand is a pro. The razor thing - totally me, although I haven't seen "1000 ways to die" but I do know that rust cuts give tetanus so I've always had this fear of rust. Living in jammies - totally me. I'm wearing my "cute rules" jammies now. Lol. It's either that or sweats. I can't seem to relax any other way:) Leaving the house and thinking I left the curling iron, flat iron or any electrical appliance i may have used - totally me. Great read. I smiled and nodded my way through it.

I confess that I live in my HUSBANDS pjs at home, ha ha! His are just SO much more comfortable! And I always have the best intentions with coupons but they never make it to the store. But that's okay... I'd rather not lose my mind over coupons the way some people do, you know?

LOL! I keep deodorant in my console as well!

I try to always have deodorant handy. Otherwise I have resorted to putting soap in my pits, and that is uncomfortable, haha. We have iPhones, but PC's, and a Prime Tablet. We like to use a variety of technical devices.

I've never let a razor get rusty, that I know of, but I definitely try to get the most out of one. I hate spending the money on them AND I'm too lazy to get out of the shower for another one.
