Teen Mom 2 Dish

As if the girls of Teen Mom 2 hadn't already caused my jaw to drop enough there was a crazy discovery on this week's episode.  We already know that Jenelle's undying love obsession for Ke$ha means that she'd rather do long term jail time then miss her concert.  She'd also prefer to go to jail then quit smoking pot but since she got hauled into jail by her probation officer after failing a urine test she seems to be on the straight and narrow.  She's gone through about 2 roommates in as many months.  Three if you count her mom.

Chelsea crying black mascara streaked tears
Poor Chelsea's little dog got attacked and killed by the neighbor's dog so she had to up and move.  She already has a replacement dog. She just took her last GED test and has been keeping her distance from her horrible ex but for the most part is chronically incapable of getting over him even though he treats her like crap.   I can't be the only one that's wondering what is going on with her shaggy poof of bleached blonde hair.  It looks like ramen noodles.  She also wears a TON of make up and should probably give the tanning a rest.  She's turning Orange.

Let's see...Kailyn cheated on a really great guy to try rekindling things with her baby's daddy.  That didn't work out.  She got lonely and somehow managed to get her ex to take her back then turned around and dumped him because she needed space.  Huh?  She's not allowed to move and take the baby to Florida so she moved into a new house instead.

Leah takes the cake for the most foolish one of all right now.  Will she ever learn?  She married the father of her twins only to be divorced within 6 months.  She was the one who cheated so she begged Corey to take her back and try again.  He refused.  After going on and on about how she rushed everything from getting pregnant, to moving in together to getting married and how she would never ever do that again she moved in with and is engaged to a man she's been dating for about 2 months.  The kicker however, is that she's already pregnant!!!  Oh, and after going on about how much she wanted to provide for her girls and have a career she dropped out of Nursing school.  Thank goodness she moved out of that awful trailer.  She actually wears more mascara then Chelsea.  It's really weird how they all picked up and moved at about the same time.

I liked the original Teen Mom group so much better.  Not that they didn't drive me nuts too.  Farrah annoyed me the most and Amber made me want to scream 90% of the time but I really liked Macy and Catelynn.  There is something about every single one of this new batch of girls and the horrible decisions they make that is very hard to watch.  Season one was good but I'm really sort of over season 2.  Mj stopped watching it a while ago and part of me wants to stop too but for some reason I can't.  A lot of people have claimed that this show glamorizes teen pregnancy but I personally do not see how.  With the exception of Amber the nightmare from Teen Mom 1 and Jenelle I'd say all of them have been really good mom's but their lives are total train wrecks!  They show how incredibly hard it is to balance school, work, relationships and life in general after having a child so young.  I'm not ready for a child at my age let alone theirs and there is nothing glamorous or fun about the crap these girls are dealing with.  Anyone else out there with a love hate relationship with this crazy show or is it just me?

I've also been a long time watcher of the Teen Mom serieses but I've had this show dvr's for the past few weeks and have yet to watch it. I get so frustrated at some of the choices they're making. I watched a bit of the last episode where Leah tells her mom she's getting engaged and her mom is all happy for her and I'm like "are you flipping kidding me?! no wonder this girl is the way she is! her mom is just as dumb" her mom really should have been like "you just had twins, i know you want the family dynamic but this is not it"... absolutely crazy crazy crazy. I don't think it glamorizes teen pregnancy at all, but I'm also 28. Perhaps someone who is in their teens is only seeing that some of these girls are living on their own without their parents...and they have semi nice things? (cars, their own place, etc) Of course they don't talk about how the show pays for their stuff...

I'm a huge teen mom fan. Janelle annoys the crap out of me. Don't even get me started on Leah and her actively trying to get pregnant uggggh! I'm excited to follow your blog.

I am SO addicted to this show and I hate all of them. Have you followed the latest drama with Janelle? She's been married, had a miscarriage (I think it's a farce), and back with her ex that she claimed abused her. Leah is so backwoods that I feel bad for her. She has no concept of what more her life could be. Although I don't think the show glamorizes teen pregnancy, I think it gives the girls too much of an opportunity to never (yet) have to work a real job. They're all pregnancy-prevention speakers, blogging about the cast for money (on Sulia), or living off whatever $$ the show gives them since their cost of living is so low. That's enough rambling- they drive me nuts!

Lol So, I don't watch this show at all. I don't think I have ever seen it. But, your review made me giggle and want to join in on the mess that is Teen Mom!

They are SO addicting but they drive me INSANE! I stupidly follow them on twitter and I yell out loud at them. I need to unfollow Janelle for my sanity. The first cast was so much better!

Haha! I didn't even know it was back for another season. I watched the first one on and off, but my train wreck show of choice is Honey Boo Boo...sigh..so bad.

I'm actually the opposite. The original Teen Mom annoyed me and I was glad when it ended. I like Teen Mom 2 better. i watch it every week. At least three of them take care of their kids. Jenelle is the real mess. I would say I like Kailyn the most just because of her strength and independence. But yeah, she had a good thing with Jordan and she messed up big time by cheating with her ex who treated her like crap.

I did find it funny how they all moved at the same time.

I've watched both Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2, and they both annoy me. I think I heard a rumor that this might be the final season of Teen Mom 2, which I'm happy about (but secretly sad about too). There's just way too much drama and too many stupid decisions. I really used to like Kailyn for being so independent and driven, but the way she's letting her hatred for her mother and their terrible past together to rule her life drives me mad. Can't she ever be happy?!?

I could go on and on, but one last thing. I do think that Leah's crazy for rushing into marriage #2 just a few months after being divorced, but she does seem so much happier now, and they've already been married for longer that Leah & Corey were. And they're finally getting a wish and are expecting a baby soon!

...guilty. Although, I probably shouldn't admit it...this should really probably be an anonymous reply, but oh well...I'm with you, I'm 32 now and the thought of having a baby still makes me sweat. I'm sure it'll happen some day--in God's time, if he's willing & I haven't said enough negative things or expressed enough fears about the subject to spoil my future opportunity. Whenever people try to sell me on the idea of how fabulous having children is, I am brought down to earth with one viewing of shows like this one or by empathizing/sympathizing with the sighing & overwhelmed look of the many people (mostly the mothers, since they brunt the majority of the child-rearing responsibility) I know (i.e., friends, family, colleagues, etc.). Yep, I think I can wait...too complicated for this point in my life--unless, God says differently (in which case, I'm sure I'll adapt & accept the task at-hand).
