I've been struggling with my water intake for a while now. It's better then it was but I still have some work to do. I can tell when I haven't had enough because I'll wake up in the middle of the night positively parched. That should never happen. My body is telling me what it needs and I just have to get better at listening. Having water come out of our refrigerator has helped a lot. It's just always there and cold when I need it. This water bottle is the latest weapon in my arsenal to combat against insufficient water drinking. I'm hoping this cute 12 oz water bottle in my favorite color that I can keep at work will inspire me to get guzzling. The recommended intake is 48 to 64 oz! It's always represented in ounces of water but we do get water in other ways from foods like fruits and vegetables. Between the work water bottle and my 24 oz Tervis tumbler at home I'm hoping to manage at least 48. If I just drink the one water bottle at work it's a minimum of 12 oz which is better then nothing but I'm definitely shooting for double that and then more at home. I forget, I get busy, it makes my stomach too full. I'm not sure what it is about drinking water that makes it so difficult to keep up with but it's so hard!
Speaking of water. Have you tried Mio liquid water enhancer? It makes water delicious and it's calorie and sugar free. I love Fruit Punch and Sweet Tea. You can adjust it to your taste by adding more or less. Mj brought a few of those home last year and they are so good. I actually like the taste of water but with the Mio I like it even more and it makes it so easy to drink.
How much water do you drink in a day?
I drink a TON of water!
ReplyDeleteI amage to drink a lot of water by just having my nalgene with me at work all day long. During the weekends I have to make more of an effort because my nalgene isn't there. Right now, I' trying to drink a full glass of water before every meal. 1) I get my water this way and 2) it makes me full so i don't eat as much
ReplyDeletetry to drink at least one 8oz class full a day. When we go out to eat I always order water UNLESS they have Strawberry Lemonade on the menu:)
ReplyDeleteI have the same struggle. At work I hate running to the bathroom all day and once I get home I forget. To help I bought a large bottle I freeze every night and take out in the morning and sip all day. Problem is I like cold water but usually cold at work so I don't want to drink anything cold. Totally understand your struggle...even though my reasons are all over the place.
ReplyDeleteI drink.a lot of water actually....I used to drink at least 2 24oz of water...lots of trips to the bathroom but it's so worth it!!
ReplyDeleteI struggle with drinking enough water as well. I'm trying to drink more. Thanks for suggesting Mio. I will have to try it out.
ReplyDeleteI do pretty good with water, I guess. I have a giant water bottle that I fill up every morning when I get to work - half ice, half cold water. It lasts me all day. I can't drink water w/o lots of ice though. I don't know why.
ReplyDeleteI too struggle with drinking water. My job doesn't have a water fountain but purchases the bottled water for us. I have been taking advantage of it. Thanks for the mio suggestion. I'l try it.
ReplyDeleteI am horrible with my water intake. For one, it makes me feel like a pee baby and for two, I hate the way water tastes!!! I will do better and the first time I read this I promised I was going to go home and drink 4 glasses of water....Yea um, that turned into two margaritas...Ugh, I've got to do better
ReplyDeleteI need to drink more water, I might need to try this :)
ReplyDeleteI need to drink more water. I've been trying to eat healtheir lately, I've cut off soda (almost) completely. Sometimes when I go to a resturant I'll get one but not usually. I really want to tone up for when summer gets here (read: butt and thighs, ha!) so exercise would be good too. I need to get some motivation.
ReplyDeleteIn an effort to improve my crappy skin I've been doing much better with my water. But I find it hard to drink it constantly! I do love the Trader Joe's sparking waters - it does wonders to combat the dry LA weather.
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine how much water I drink in a day. I drink it all day at work, I have a case of water in my trunk, whenever I go out to eat, I order water. It's really the only beverage of my choice, with cranberry juice every now and then. NOTHING can quench my thirst better than water.
ReplyDeleteAnd I know this may sound strange, but I prefer tap water over bottled. O,O
i drink so much water. pretty much the only thing i drink on the regular. i am at this point that nothing, and i mean nothing, taste better than a ice cold glass of water.
